《
草迷宫》是由三上博史,若松武,新高惠子,兰妖子,伊丹十三等主演，
一首母亲（新高けい子 饰）生前哼唱过的手球歌，令少年阿明（三上博史 饰）魂牵梦绕，不知所措。他曾为此求教过校长和僧侣（伊丹十三 饰），然而没人知道这支手球歌的来历。他走过高山大海，见识过这个世界的光怪陆离，只为寻找困扰自己问题的答案。在此期间，童年和青年时代（若松武 饰）的记忆不断交错，阿明终于慢慢碰触到记忆和内心的最深处……
本片根据泉镜花同名短篇小说改编，这是演员三上博史的处女作，著名导演相米慎二则担任了助理导演的职务。影片拍摄于1979年，但拍摄完毕后却束之高阁，直到1983年寺山修司去世后才在他的追悼会上首次公开。
