家聪（吕颂贤 饰）本来是一名飞虎队员，一次执行任务受伤后，被调职至远离香港岛的一个小岛上担任巡警、疗养伤势。小岛上的居民虽然民风淳朴，但岛上警察局的条件令家聪大跌眼镜，这里连他一共只有几名警员，连巡逻车都没有，平时巡逻都是靠自行车。这里的作风也和香港大不一样，办事都讲究 人情世故，很多规章制度在这里根本没人遵守。本来就原则性极强的家聪和这里的村民时常发生摩擦，幸得茶餐厅老板娘阿玉（黄恺欣 饰）体谅开解，阿玉原来是家聪失散多年的亲生母亲，后来母子终于相认。家聪在这里与村民安心（宣萱 饰）成了欢喜冤家，但安心的哥哥安顺（郭晋安 饰）原来就是那次在家聪执行任务时将他打伤的匪徒，家聪最后会否发现这一秘密，爱情、责任他又会如何取舍？
